Second chances

Let’s talk about giving second chances. For me, I was a firm believer that sometimes people make a mistake. I believed these people are worthy of having a second chance, no matter how much they may have hurt my feelings. But that was just me. Some people have such a hard time letting people into their lives to begin with. Therefore, a second chance is simply seen as a second chance that this person could hurt them again. Both of these sides I can understand. Either you give people second chances or you don’t.

Here’s the thing though, I usually tend to give people a second second chance. Or a third second chance. Or fourth. Fifth. Sixth. You get the point. I’ve come to realize a thing or two about people who deserve a second chance and people who don’t even deserve the first chance you gave them.

If you are in a friendship or relationship where…

You have to prove your worthiness of being their friend or significant other, they don’t deserve it.

Why? Because you shouldn’t have to fight for a friendship or relationship where the other person questions why they need or would want you in their life.

If you are in a friendship or relationship where…

You have been hurt so many times that the actions causing the hurt no longer upset you, they don’t deserve it.

Why? Because this person has hurt you consistently over and over again. Yes sometimes people can change. But this is reoccurring, there is no sign of change when someone has hurt you multiple times.

If you are in a friendship or relationship where…

There isn’t mutual trust or honesty, they don’t deserve it.

Why? Because trust and honesty are the base of any friendship and relationship. If you can’t trust your friend or significant other, the entire base of this friendship is falling apart.

If you are in a friendship or relationship where…

They simply don’t care about you or your feelings, they don’t deserve it.

Why? Because a true friend or partner cares about how you feel. They care if they hurt your feelings or upset you in someway.

If you are in a friendship or relationship where…

You are the one making plans to hangout all the time or being the first to text or call them, they don’t deserve it.

Why? Because every friendship or relationship should be mutual. A mutual agreement to each start a conversation one day instead of one person putting all the effort into the friendship or relationship.

Here’s the thing with second chances, once you give them a second chance, they think that they will always get another second chance. There’s a lot of circumstances that I can’t even begin to write in the above examples. The point being, that once a person is disrespectful or hurtful to you, it’s difficult to forgive them never mind give them a second chance at being in your life. You’re always going to think back to the day they said this or did that. But you’ll be the bigger person and put the hurt in the past. But once you give one second chance, it’s difficult to stop giving second chances. You become numb to the hurt and the disrespect. You begin to think that that’s just how it is. You overlook things that upset you. You forgive them. You start over. You put it all in the past. But, it really never is in the past. You always wonder when it’s going to happen again. You question everything they say to you.

So here’s what I’ve come to realize about giving people second chances.

First off, obviously this person has to genuinely feel badly for what they did or said. Don’t accept any apology over a text or phone call. Anyone can type something in a text message or say something without looking you face to face.

Second, make them wait it out. They hurt you, why should you immediately let them back into your life? Make them prove that they feel badly and prove that they want your friendship or relationship. That it means as much to them as it means to you.

Never fight for a friendship or relationship where you weren’t the one making the mistake. Someone else hurt you, why are you proving yourself to them to keep the friendship or relationship?

Once you have spent some time kind of waiting it out and deciding if this friendship or relationship is one that is worth a shot at a second chance, talk to them in person. Explain to them that what happened really hurt you but you feel that this friendship or relationship is one that is worthy of a second chance.

But that is it.

One second chance.

The point of a second chance is that this person only has this one shot. And if they make a mistake again, they don’t get to have a second second chance.

Thoughts of an introvert

Hi. I’m Squishy. (People say in unison – “Hiiii squishy”) I am an introvert. I have been an introvert for the past 20 years. Some say it’s because I was home schooled. I say it’s because people suck. I feel like more and more people are becoming introverted. Some, I believe, are introverts because it’s the “cool” thing to do because they’re conforming to today’s introverted society. I don’t mean to brag, but I was introverted before it was “cool”. So, I’m going to list some of the things that us introverts go through in our daily lives.

1. Needing alone time after being social

I always feel mentally exhausted after (and sometimes during) being social. Being social is fun sometimes, I just can only handle so much at a time. It always feels nice to get into bed and relax and calm your brain.

2. People thinking you’re rude

I’m just a naturally quiet person. Some people assume I’m rude because I don’t talk much. There’s nothing wrong with just observing! If I have nothing to say, why talk? I’m not going to talk just to talk and have random crap come out of my mouth. Sue me. People also might think I’m rude personally because I have major RBF. Oops.

3. Being happy when plans get canceled

I feel bad for feeling this way sometimes. There are just some days when I need to be by myself and Netflix.

4. Being too afraid or shy to do things

Sometimes I let my shyness or whatever get in the way of things. As most of you know, I work at a jewelry store. I could probably be a lot better sales person if I was more outgoing and had more people skills. But it’s just not who I am. I have to make phone calls and they’re always a mess.

5. Instantly regretting making plans

We’ve all been there. I sometimes ask myself “why did I just do that? ABORT ABORT ABORT”. But then, I usually end up having fun with whatever plans I made.

6. Wanting to be alone but not lonely

I hope this makes sense to most of you. I love being alone but I like knowing that I have people who are there for me whenever.

Please don’t think I hate being around people all the time. I do enjoy spending time with family and friends. I just enjoy my quiet and alone time!

P.S. Shout out to my boyfriend for understanding that I need my alone time and not getting upset at me about it. You’re the best.

life · Summer

Summer isn’t as good as it used to be

When you were growing up how did you spend your summers?

In the pool. At the beach. With family. Summer camps. Going on vacations. With friends. Disney World. And so on. Now that I am legally an adult, summers seem to have gotten less wonderful. I spend most of the days home alone. I have a job. I have college planning and essays or scholarships to apply for. I have to find a job on campus. I have to apply for loans. Save my money.

Why does being an adult have to suck?

Literally it sucks the fun out of summer.

I tried multiple times to get together with my friends over the course of the summer. In younger years, my parents would have scheduled sleepovers or playdates with my friends with ease. But now that we are all adults, we all have these things called “responsibilities”.

I know right? Gross.

The days I’m free my friends are busy, the days my friends are free I’m busy. It’s a difficult task for sure to figure out a day to see other with two people, never mind four or more friends.

Being an adult is great and all, I just despise it.

All those “responsibilities” like working, schooling, scheduling… it just adds up to being busy busy busy all summer long. Which gets to my main point, summer isn’t as good as it used to be.

Now that I’m older, it’s hard to get excited about doing something when you’ve already spent the past eighteen years doing that. You want to go other places, try new things and find new places to explore. Not return back to the same beach or campground you’ve been to a dozen times growing up.

I’ve come to find that summer, as awesome as I always think it will be, is somewhat a let down. You always except it to be filled with spending time with friends at the beach or finding someplace new to explore or going out in the big city for a night. For whatever reason, as much as you try to do these things, they don’t end up happening (for the most part).

Again with those things called “responsibilities” getting in the way of things.

Even for children growing up today, summer isn’t spent the same way as my generation had it. My generation had it good. We’d go outside and play with side walk chalk or bicycles or on a swing set. Our parents would plan trips out to the zoo or aquariums or some type of kids museum. They’d let us invite friends over for a campfire or sleepover. We were always doing something outside.

But children now? They sit in front of their tablets, inside, on the couch, all day. I have four nephews so last time I was babysitting I thought, wow, it’s a beautiful day. We should go outside on a walk. I finally get the boys off their iPads (mind you they are five and two years old), we literally step outside before they are screaming and crying over bugs and run back inside to play their computer games again.

It just made me sad that they can’t even go outside and enjoy the nice, warm weather and play. Yes it may have been because of the “bugs” (a single dragonfly). But simply the fear of bugs that are completely harmless (dragonflies) means that they haven’t been outside enough to get used to them. He’s five years old and still scared of bugs? When I was five I was catching caterpillars and lady bugs and letting them crawl all over my hands.

I understand that the times are different. But that is exactly my point, people aren’t enjoying the summer months like they used to, especially the young children. People should be enjoying life, outside, going on adventures, experiencing new things. For whatever reason, most people that I know come home from a long day of work and don’t have the energy to go out and see the world. And while I understand that (as well as do it myself), I just feel like I, as well as the majority of other young people are wasting away the best years of their lives tucked up inside a house or working all summer long.

6 Reasons Why You Actually Miss Being on Campus

Despite the excitement of returning home from campus for the summer months, you quickly come to realize all the things you actually miss because you aren’t on campus anymore. It’s been about three weeks since finals ending and I’m already having the Campus Blues.

Here are some of the reasons why you’ll actually miss being on campus this summer.

You’ll miss seeing your friends everyday. Or at least being able to see them as much as you wish. It’s definitely true that you make some of your best friends in college. However, the downside is that they most likely won’t be from your home town. So in the summer months, you simply just end up missing them.

You’ll miss having your own little space. I honestly miss my little dorm room, even though I have my own room at home. I miss the privacy that came with having my dorm room instead of having to let my parents know everything I do.

You’ll miss going on “dates” with your friends (or boyfriend). Trips to the dining halls are a daily occurrence on campus, but now that you’re home? Most of the time you end up eating your meals alone and can’t help but miss the crazy conversations and fun times you had at the dining halls.

You’ll miss making new friends on campus. If you are anything like me, then you are constantly meeting new people and making new friends. Whether it be in a class, in a group or just walking around on campus. You see people you know everywhere.

You’ll miss the groups you joined. Since being on campus, I’ve already started to become involved with other groups and organizations. I’m definitely starting to miss the people and meetings that I got to see and be involved with.

You’ll miss campus events. Whether it be Greek life, a campus club, program council, the resident halls, there was always something going on every day on campus. At home things are a little bit different, meaning there isn’t as much to do. Not being busy is, well, boring.

But have no fear! September is coming around faster than we realize. Move-in day is practically right around the corner. And I can’t wait to be back on campus complaining about the dining hall food or all the assignments I have.

With that said, ENJOY THE REST OF THE SUMMER, it’s not going to last forever.

My 30 By 30

I found this fun blog post idea while searching the internet a couple of months back when I was running low on blog ideas for the future. I had thought that it was pretty cool. So basically, it is a list of thirty things or goals or where exactly I want to be and what I want to accomplish in life before I turn thirty years old, in no particular order whatsoever.

Here is my “Thirty By Thirty” list:

  1. Graduate from college. A simple goal for most people in this generation as most high school graduates continue their educations with college degrees. The only thing that might be different in my case is that I am aiming to earn my Master’s Degree so I am able to teach in a classroom of my own.
  2. Travel. I have already traveled to a few places that were located out of the country. However, I really want to travel across Europe. I also want to explore some more of the Caribbean Islands and tropical places. I would also love to travel to see the Seven Wonders of the World, as well as some of the major landscapes in the United States such as the Grand Canyon.
  3. Get married. Obviously everyone hopes to find their true love and prince (or princess) like the Disney and Romance movies show. I am no exception to this. I hope that before I turn 30 I have found the love of my life and I hope to be married to them, although I suppose I could settle for engaged.
  4. Buy my first home. This is clearly a huge stepping stone in becoming an adult, having my own bills and mortgage to pay and being responsible for them. I really look forward to making my “Dream House” pinterest board a reality.
  5. Buy my first real (nice) car. It’s basically destined to happen that your first car is well, crappy and cheap. I look forward to owning a newer car that comes with being older and being a better more responsible driver. Of course, I need to get my license and first car before this can happen, but that’s coming in the near future.
  6. Go on a road trip. This goes along with having a car that is obviously dependable. But I want to someday (before the age of thirty) take a road trip across the United States. I want to stop at the major sight seeing spots along the way accompanied with some of my best friends.
  7. Study abroad. The only time you can really “travel abroad” is in your college years. I am hopeful that I am able to travel abroad to a foreign country and learn about the education systems in place there and compare them to the education systems we have here at the United States. We can learn a lot of different techniques for learning from other cultures.
  8. Face some of my fears. I tend to be really hesitant when it comes to trying new things or facing something that scares me. I want to be able to overcome some of those fears in the next fifteen or so years.
  9. Start a family. Scary thought when it seems so far out into the future but around the age of 30 I’ll probably want to start thinking about having a family of my own. Or maybe I’ll even already have started one. This one can definitely wait for a while longer, but someday.
  10. Have a family pet (or two). With the starting a family, along comes owning my first pet. I’ve grow up with having pets my entire life but this is the first time I would have my own, to myself that is.
  11. Meet my best friend. It sounds crazy but out of all the friends you have now, you still may have not met your best friend. I met my best friend on twitter who does these blogs with me, but we still have yet to meet in person.
  12. Exercise regularly. Basically I just want to stay healthy. I don’t really go to the gym that much now but I’d really love to start being more active.
  13. Have a job, that uses my degree. After studying my major for four years (and getting my Master’s after six) I’d really love to have a job in my field of interest. After all, college loans would be a waste if I didn’t use my degree!
  14. Run a 5K marathon. I am looking into doing the Color Run next year, but if that doesn’t work out there are tons of other 5K’s I could take part in. The hardest part would be getting myself motivated to train for them.
  15. Spend some time volunteering for an organization. I already volunteer for multiple organizations, but it’s such a rewarding experience. I love spending time with the organizations I volunteer for and want to continue to do so throughout the upcoming years.
    (Halfway there!)
  16. Spend more time with family. I have a huge family and family is extremely important to me. Spending time with my family is definitely something that I need to cherish now because you never know when the last time you’ll see someone is.
  17. Attend a major sports game. For me, I really love football. I’ve never been to a NFL football game, despite living only several miles from one of them. For you, you may have other sports that you enjoy and want to watch.
  18. Learn something new. This is kinda in simple form. I want to learn so many things that I don’t already know how to do. This could be anything from learning a new language to learning how to ski. Either way, I want to learn how to do something I don’t know how to do right now.
  19. Date someone who isn’t your “type”. It seems kind silly, why would you want to date someone different than everyone else you’ve dated in the past? But that’s exactly the reason why! This person might surprise you, after all, there’s a reason why your past relationships didn’t work out, am I right?
  20. Start saving for retirement. Not surprisingly, the earlier you start saving for retirement, the more you save and the sooner you can retire. I hope to start saving as soon as I can so I can enjoy many years without working when I am older.
  21. Pay off my college loans (and or credit card debt). Interest on student loans or credit cards is an awful thing. I want to be responsible with my money and pay off my debts as soon as possible.
  22. Become a better cook. Right now, my cooking skills are at a college level, some simple pasta and sauce, mac and cheese, nothing too fancy. But learning to cook a full meal now, and a yummy, healthy one for that matter, will help when it comes to living on my own!
  23. Attend my favorite singer’s concert. Or band, or whatever you listen to. I’ve seen a handful of concerts and they are always a fun time. However, there’s a few other artists that I really want to see on stage before I turn 30.
  24. Become a leader. I’ve always been someone who just follows somewhat in the paths of other people. I’ve never really had a leadership position. I hope to become a leader in some form of club or organization while I am attending college.
  25. Have a stable income. Money surely doesn’t buy happiness in any sense however, I think that it is important to be responsible with your money. It’s key to be stable in life before buying a home or starting a family.
  26. Make more friends. In high school, I didn’t have that many great friends. Since going to college, I’ve made a bunch of new friends and I hope to expand and grow our friendships over the course of my education, and then into the years to come.
  27. Become more organized. When it comes to certain things, like my school supplies, I can be extremely organized and put together. The thing I’m not that great at keeping clean is my room or desk.
  28. Watch the most popular TV series seasons on Netflix. I’ve seen a couple of TV shows on Netflix, but I definitely haven’t ventured into some of the most talked about, such as Orange is the New Black or Grey’s Anatomy.
  29. Get to know my family history. There’s tons of websites today that allow you to track back your ancestors. I find this extremely interesting and would love to see what pops up under my family tree.
  30. Make small acts of kindness. By this I mean paying for the next person in the drive thru’s coffee in the morning or giving some money or food to a homeless person. Sometimes the little things in life can mean the most to someone else.

And that’s that! Making this list was very entertaining and I loved thinking about what I wanted in the future. Some things were pretty obvious and came to me quickly. As I was finishing up my list, I had some trouble thinking of some other things I wanted to do before I was thirty. Overall, I enjoyed making this blog and hopefully some day I’ll look back at this and be able to check everything off as complete!

What’s on your 30 by 30 list?

What kind of cat lady are you?

The following is an assortment of gifs of cats that will help you to determine whats kid of cat lady you are. All you have to do is tally up the points that relate to you. At the end, you’ll find out which cat lady status is most like you, based on the gifs below!

Add 2 points if you make your cat(s) dance.

Add 3 points if you set up play dates with other cats for your cat.
cat lady 1

Add 5 points if you tell people you are in a relationship with your cat(s).

Add one point if you’ve had cats your entire life.

Add 1 point if you only really use the cat snapchat filters.

Add one point if you force your cats to love you.

cat lady 2

Add 1 point for each cat you own.

Add 1 point if you leave music on for your cat when you aren’t home.

cat lady 3

Add 10 points if you dress your other pets up as cats.

Add 2 points if you feed your cat human food.

Add 2 points if you have bought your cats clothing or shoes or some sort.

Add 6 points if you dress your cat up for the holidays.

Add 3 points if you tried to steal someone else’s cat.

Add 2 points if you take selfies with your cat.

Add one point if a cat is your favorite animal.

Add 4 points if you have this reaction when you see a cat.

Add 3 points if you take your cats on walks outside.

Add 3 points if you use snapchat filters on your cat.

Add 2 points if you have cats despite being allergic to them.

Now calculate your total!

If you have a score of 0 to 4: You hate cats, but you probably have one anyways. Cat lady status is “Cat Observer”. This name is given to you because you don’t really favor cats when it comes to other animals. You wouldn’t get caught petting a cat if it saved your life. Unfortunately, you won’t be hoarding cats in your older years.

If you scored a 4 to 8: You definitely have at least one cat, who you think is okay and you may occasionally force them to snuggle with you. However, you still aren’t crazy cat lady status, more like “Cat Petter”. You can tolerate cats in moderation and sometimes feel the need to pet them or give them a treat.

If you scored a 9 to 12: You are a cat lover for sure. You spend your spare time taking selfies with your cat and probably spend more time with your cats than your friends. You are a “Cat Cuddler”. This is because you have a heart for cats, and a soft spot for them. You tend to cuddle them and pet them often but the cats you have now are enough for you.

If you scored an 12 to 18: Congrats! You are totally on you’re way to becoming a crazy cat lady! For the time being though, we consider you a “Cat Liker”. You love cats of all colors, sizes and breeds. When it comes to cats, you can not contain your excitement and just love to snuggle them in your arms. You most likely leave out food for the strays and name the neighborhood cats.

If you scored a 19 to 26: You are a “Cat Lover” for sure. You clearly own more than one cat, all of which you love dearly. You constantly buy them new toys and spoil them rotten. However, your obsession with cats is slightly controllable. You have yet to take in all of the neighborhood strays, although you probably made them winter shelters in your yard until then.

If you scored a 27 to 32: You are a “Cat Enthusiast”. Your cats are probably the most important people in your life, and yes you consider them people. You take tons of pictures of your cats every day and probably have a blog or Instagram or Facebook account just for your cats. People say that your obsession is slightly unhealthy, but you don’t really care. You just handle it by adopting another cat or volunteering at the cat shelter.

If you scored higher than a 32: You are the “Crazy Cat Lady”! Your obsession with cats is clear to everyone you pass by, probably because you are proudly displaying a “cat lady” shirt or key chain. Or taking your cat on a walk or something crazy. You have more cats than you do friends. Your collection of cat related things and cats in general is uncontrollable, but it’s totally okay.

Make sure to comment what your cat lady status is & let us know how accurate they were!

What to pack for Freshman year of College

About a year ago, I was preparing to move into my freshman dorm my first year of college. I looked at one to many Pinterest lists of “Things to pack”. There were definitely things on one list that the other was forgetting and things on that list that weren’t on this one. Needless to say, I never ended up finding one list the exclusively told me everything I would need to pack. Being the perfectionist that I am (and I guess being slightly OCD), I put together my own list. I couldn’t possibly deal with looking in several different places to know what I needed. If you were confused, Squishy and I (Bubbles) run this blog together so we switch off doing posts every other day. We wanted to both do this blog so that is why there are B’s and S’s next to the bullets! The B obviously stands for Bubbles and the S stands for Squishy. The nicknames are a totally different subject. Basically we both love Finding Nemo. So one day we decided to give each other nicknames from it. Bubbles was the fish in the tank that went crazy whenever the bubble treasure chest opened. And Squishy is the little jellyfish that Dory finds!

Thank you again to The Living Me for nominating us to do this challenge! It actually helped us to learn more about each other, which is always great! That means our readers got to learn more about us as well!

Secret Life of Pets movie review

I have done this once before with Finding Dory and everyone seemed to like it, as still do! Actually, most of the “searched terms” of our blog related back to that movie review! With that being said, this past weekend my boyfriend and I went to the movie theatre to see The Secret Life of Pets movie. As I did before, I’m going to list a few of my favorite characters with a nice little description of each and then talk about my thoughts on the movie overall.

Let’s get on with the show.

max-the-secret-life-of-pets-68.6_thumb.jpgI’ll start with the most major characters and then get into the less important, but still cute characters after.

First, meet Max. In the beginning of the movie, Max seems like any ordinary dog who adores his owner. But, Max ends up wandering away from his watch post. Over the course of the movie, you can definitely see the change of behavior in Max and the relationship he has with his new friend Duke.

duke-the-secret-life-of-pets-2.56_thumb.jpgThe next main character is Duke. At first, Duke seems kind of scary and threatening to Max. Max does not like the idea of having a “brother”. He and Duke fight over their owner and who is going to be the Alpha dog of the house. Eventually, the two sort out their differences and become best friends.

This is Katie. Katie is the owner of Max and the adopter of Duke. Every day, Katie leaves to go to work while her two dogs stay at home, so she thinks. But don’t worry, the two dogs always make it home in time to greet their owner at the door.

gidget-the-secret-life-of-pets-41_thumb.jpgGidget is probably one of my favorite characters. She is utterly in love with Max. She watches him from afar in her home across the way from Max. When Max goes missing, she is the first to notice (obviously! she’s in love with him!)sweet-pea-the-secret-life-of-pets-97.9_thumb.jpg

Sweet Pea is part of the crew Gidget puts together to go on the mission to find and rescue Max and Doug. Sweet Pea doesn’t really say much, but she’s there for moral support throughout the trip.

chloe-the-secret-life-of-pets-32_thumb.jpgChloe is another of my favorite characters in this movie. She definitely is the dictionary definition of a “cat”. Lazy, doesn’t really care, gets distracted by shiny things. Her personality, although slightly rude, is perfect. She is the purrrrfect mixture of sassy and I don’t care.

Buddy is another character that doesn’t really say or do much in the movie. But he does play an important role in helping the team find Max and Doug. The best scene is when he scales the side of the building to get to Pops’s apartment.

Norman is a funny character for sure. He spends the majority of the time in the movie searching for his apartment. He got lost in the ventilation pipes for a long time before finding his home. But before he returns home, he adventures out with the team to find Max and Doug.

Mel mel-the-secret-life-of-pets-81.1_thumb.jpgis a pretty cute character. He’s pretty much just “part of the team” when it comes to the rescue. There isn’t much to say when it comes to Mel. He’s just there for the adventure.

Pops is actually one of the main heroes when it comes to finding out where Max was. He’s an old, retired, paralyzed pup who throws crazy parties when his owner isn’t home. He knows everyone in town and for sure comes in use when knowing someone in the sewer.

Tiberius is the last character in the gang to save Max and Doug. He seems like a vicious animal at first, however, Gidget befriends him. He comes to realize all he really wanted was a friend.

UnknownThis gang consists of Tattoo (the pig), Ripper (the bulldog), Snowball (the bunny), the Bearded Dragon and a bunch of others such as Viper and Ricky. They have named themselves the “Flushed Pets” after their owners abandoned them. Their mission is to avenge pet owners.

Now that everyone is counted for, I really loved this movie. I caught myself laughing at it multiple times. After seeing the movie, I looked up some other blog reviews. I found that other people find this movie very similar to the plot of Toy Story. While I agree that the plots are similar, I didn’t find myself thinking it during the movie. Had it not have been for reading the other blogs I wouldn’t have even put two and two together.

I found the question of “what do your pets do when you’re not home” to be hilarious. I loved how the producers and writers approached it with all different types of characters. Some partied, some watched the door, some trashed the apartments. The variety of pet personalities always kept you laughing.

The other part of this movie that I loved was the reaction of Max when Doug arrived. Max had it out for Doug, he did not think another pet was a good idea. He tried multiple things to get rid of Doug, with no success. The battery between the two was just perfect and funny. Of course, throughout their trip to the sewers and trying to find their way back home, you see the two come together. Max even cares enough about Doug to try to find his old owner. As well as save his life.

Overall, I found the movie to be very entertaining and easy to laugh at. I don’t think that it is a remake of Toy Story. However, other blogs also said that this movie kind of skips over some things that should be elaborated more on. In the moment of watching the movie, I personally didn’t see this void in the story. But looking back, there are some moments that could have been touched upon a bit better. Such as the trip to find Doug’s old owner and his response to it.
