If you were confused, Squishy and I (Bubbles) run this blog together so we switch off doing posts every other day. We wanted to both do this blog so that is why there are B’s and S’s next to the bullets! The B obviously stands for Bubbles and the S stands for Squishy. The nicknames are a totally different subject. Basically we both love Finding Nemo. So one day we decided to give each other nicknames from it. Bubbles was the fish in the tank that went crazy whenever the bubble treasure chest opened. And Squishy is the little jellyfish that Dory finds!

Thank you again to The Living Me for nominating us to do this challenge! It actually helped us to learn more about each other, which is always great! That means our readers got to learn more about us as well!

Blog Challenges

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Lately, there has been a popular trend going around on Instagram. The trend being the caption “Where do you see yourself in five years?” which ultimately leads to the picture posted being where they see themselves. In an attempt to make this trend on Instagram a trend in the world of blogging, instead of using a picture to describe where I see myself, I am going to use words. There are a ton of blogger challenges going around lately, so this is going to be the one that we are starting!
Here are the rules,

  1. Thank the person who nominated you for this challenge
  2. Simply respond to the question “Where do you see yourself in five years?” in a blog, respond to the multiple parts of the question (job, home, relationship, family, etc).
  3. Also make sure to say how old you’ll be in five years!
  4. Tag at least 5 other bloggers to do the challenge!
  5. In five years, do a follow up blog! (hopefully we don’t forget- or stop blogging by then)
  6. Mention the creator of this challenge (CObloggering)

Here goes nothing!

Hey Squishy, or O, where do you see yourself in five years from now? (I wanted to specify who was writing since two people write this blog)
In five years from today, my job would be…
Well, my plan is to finally get a job as an EMT. I’ve slacked on pursuing that career. But, I’m not giving up! I have a passion for helping people. I want to make a difference in people’s lives. I love the thought of saving someone’s life and being someone’s hero. So, I hope that’s what I’ll be doing with my career in 5 years!

In five years from today, my home life would be…

I sure hope I’m not living at home still. I see myself either having my own apartment or married and moved out with my husband. I plan on moving out on the next year or so! I’m very thankful for my parents and all they do for me. But, I’m 20 and ready to leave the nest.

In five years from today, my relationship status would be…

Well, I’m in a new relationship so only God knows what will happen! But, I don’t plan on getting rid of him anytime soon and our goal for the relationship is to end up married. I’ll be 25 in 5 years. I see myself either a newly wed or planning a wedding (that is if all things go well with me and my current boyfriend).

In five years from today, my family life would be…

Well…like I just said, I’ll either be a newly wed or planning a wedding (maybe) so I don’t see myself having children by then. So, I’ll have a husband (maybe) and some fur babies.

In five years from today, I will be… more independent, happy, and confident in what I do and what I want to do. I will be traveling to see the world and all the places I dream of seeing. I will be determined, ambitious, and overcome any obstacles that happen to get in my way. (I really like what Bubbles said so I’m going with this too. It’s how I want to be in 5 years – Squishy)

I hope that you guys enjoy this challenge blog post and I hope that this blog has kind of helped you learned some things you hadn’t known about me before!
Here are the blogs that I am nominating to continue our little blog challenge post!
Also, if I didn’t tag you in this post but you want to do the challenge, please do so!

Blog Challenges · Our Thoughts

Unique Blogger Award

First off, we want to thank little Purple.Mage for nominating us for this challenge. Our response may be a little different that usual since we will both be responding to the questions!

Here are the rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
  • Answer their 3 questions.
  • Include one meme and one quote you really like.
  • Nominate 8-13 bloggers to receive this award.
  • Ask your nominees 3 UNIQUE questions.
  • Add a link to the awards creator: A Girl’s Voyage- Wanderlust77

Here are the questions little Purple.Mage asked us:

  1. If you had to associate yourself with one scented candle, what would it be and why?

B:

If I were to be a candle, I would think it would smell fruity and summer-y and probably a little flower-y. I think thats a word. I tend to be a really happy, bubbly person which is why I would think the smell of my candle would be fruity and fresh.

S:

Coffee. Definitely coffee. It runs in my veins and it’s basically my obsession. I like to be all warm and cozy and I feel like coffee goes hand in hand with that.

2. If you came across a book that detailed your future, would you want to open it and read it?

B:

Interesting question! My immediate thought was no, which I am going to stick to. I wouldn’t open the book because I honestly believe that in my life right now I am on the right track to where my future will bring me. The future is unknown for a reason!

S:

Oh, that’s a hard one. The temptation would definitely be there. But, I like not knowing. If I knew what was going to happen, I would spend my life worrying if I’m making the right choices to get to that point.

3. What do you think is the meaning of life?

B:

The answer to this question obviously varies on who you ask, which is probably why this was one of the questions! I think that the meaning of life is for people to find their own happiness. I also believe that finding this happiness includes falling in love with someone who makes you feel happy. Falling in love gives your life more meaning because you get to spend your lifetime finding happiness with that person, whether it be traveling, getting married or starting a family you get to experience your happiest days with that person.

S:

I’m religious so my answer might be different from most people’s. I believe God created us to fulfill his eternal plan. (I won’t get into that because it would be too long). But I also agree with C’s answer!

One meme that makes me laugh?

B:

I just liked this one when I was searching through some because I recently started my first job and it gets really hectic. I work at a concession stand at a concert arena and intermission always has me like this.

Plot twist, there’s another. S actually made this one because we religiously watch The Walking Dead together. If you haven’t seen it you won’t understand. You also won’t understand if you aren’t a 90’s kid. But I think it’s hilarious.

S:

I don’t know why I love this one so much. Sometimes I say “I’m going to cut off your nipples” so this one just goes with that perfectly.

My favorite quote right now?

B:

I literally live off of quotes so this is actually a pretty tough choice. But after looking though my quotes Pinterest board I have made my decision. I can’t decide, so here are three. Whoops.

“Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly”. -Proverb

“Your value doesn’t decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth”. -Unknown

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. -Unknown

S:

“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.” – Abraham Lincoln

I agree that A Girl’s Voyage- Wanderlust77 ‘s idea of nominating our ten most recent followers is a great idea to get to know them better.

So we are going to nominate,

  1. Kevin Brown Poetry
  2. TinzRant
  3. Starlif
  4. NYANILAVIDA
  5. The Living Me

  8. Jefe YO Soy
  9. allofthischaos
  10. Making memories

(Yay for learning how to tag people for real five days later)

Our questions for them are…

  1. What is the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?
  2. You’ve been arrested and placed in jail. What are you in for?
  3. Is the glass half empty, half full, or completely full? Why?

Here goes nothing!

Hey Bubbles, or C, where do you see yourself in five years from now? (I wanted to specify who was writing since two people write this blog)

In five years from today, my job would be…

I will be teaching second grade in preferably a public school most likely in my home state. I will have just received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. With that being said, I see myself as a college graduate. Finding a job in my major out of college sometimes worries me, but I know by the time I receive my Master’s that I will definitely have a stable job, which will be nothing but my “dream job”. I truly have a passion for young children and teaching so there’s no doubt in my mind that there will be much of a change from now in five years. I was born to be an elementary teacher.

In five years from today, my home life would be…

I hope that since I will have a stable job for at least a year or two by then that I will be able to afford to buy my first home or apartment by this time. I don’t particularly want to stay at home forever and will eventually need to move out of my childhood home. However, I won’t be opposed to simply renting out the third floor apartment my mom owns as my own, even if that means she’ll be living right below me in the first floor. The point being, that in five years, I want to start living like an adult and being responsible for things as an adult. I don’t want to be much dependent on my parents at this point in my life.

In five years from today, my relationship status would be…

In five years I will be twenty-four years old. For me, this is a little bit too young to be married. Before I’m married I want to have a stable income and a stable job. I want to have a bulk amount of my college education paid for. And I want to take the time to save up for my dream wedding. So with that being said, in five years, I’ll probably be in a long-term relationship, probably living with this person and saving for a future together. And maybe, I’ll be engaged. But FYI, my wedding is already basically planned on my Pinterest board. Whoops.

In five years from today, my family life would be…

As I just talked about, I want to be stable in my job, income, and relationship before I start to have a family of my own. I want to be able to provide my future child with a home over their heads, food in their bellies and love in their hearts. In five years, if I’m married early, I may be considering having a child in the near future. More likely, if I am not yet married, I will probably just continue to have baby fever, just some advanced case of it and I’ll be preparing and saving for the right time!

In five years from today, I will be... more independent, happy, and confident in what I do and what I want to do. I will be traveling to see the world and all the places I dream of seeing. I will be determined, ambitious, and overcome any obstacles that happen to get in my way.

I hope that you guys enjoy this challenge blog post and I hope that this blog has kind of helped you learned some things you hadn’t known about me before!

Here are the blogs that I am nominating to continue our little blog challenge post!
